Why produce everything by hand?

Canvases

Stretcher frame

Each stretcher frame is handmade from easily workable fir wood, allowing for versatile joinery. The bars are carefully milled for precise joints and slightly rounded to prevent damage to the canvas over time.

The corners of the canvas are joined and stapled to enhance durability and resist impacts during transport.

Key advantages:

Improved portability

Cost-effectiveness

Easy adjustments or repairs

Long-term preservation of the canvas

Wide range of available sizes

Mounting a canvas on stretcher bars is the most professional method and offers multiple benefits. Buyers can indicate in the additional notes at the time of purchase if they would like extra reinforcements within the frame.

The canvas rolls I use are made of a cotton blend with a dark backing and a medium texture.

Composition: 70% cotton, 25% polyester, 4% rayon.

Easy to stretch on a frame and highly durable.

Excellent longevity over time.

Choosing to produce the canvas by hand stems both from practical considerations and a passion for craftsmanship. Ready-made canvases are naturally more expensive, which would increase the final cost of the painting. More importantly, creating each canvas entirely by hand allows me to preserve the artisanal process and avoid mass production. In this way, every canvas becomes unique and personal, giving the buyer the sense that the artwork was made exclusively for them.
